About the Role
Azure Administrator
Location: Concord, NC (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 remote)
Salary: $115,000
Reports To: Director of IT / Infrastructure Lead

RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Provision, configure, and maintain core Azure services: VMs, virtual networks, storage accounts, firewalls, and more.
- Own day-to-day administration of Azure systems—patching, updates, tuning performance, and proactive monitoring.
- Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) and identity solutions with a focus on security and governance.
- Leverage Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to stay ahead of potential disruptions.
- Implement security best practices, including MFA, encryption, firewall configuration, and access policies.
- Support business continuity through Azure Backup and disaster recovery planning/testing.
- Automate tasks and workflows using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
- Document configurations and processes to create a source of truth for future reference.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable support to internal users and teams across the company.
- Contribute to cost optimization and resource tagging strategies that support our growth.

Requirements
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience with Enterprise Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Windows server OS, Virtual Technologies, network protocols and related technologies (e.g., VPNs, DNS, firewalls).
• Minimum of 1 year focused on Azure administration.
• Required: Azure 900 Certification
• Preferred: Azure Administrator Associate (willingness to obtain).
• Extensive understanding of Azure cloud technologies, including but not limited to Azure and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with core Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage, and Azure Active Directory.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar scripting tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Proactive and eager to learn new Azure technologies and solutions.
